Maps and Displacement

According to UNOCHA, as of June 6th, there are currently 66,200 registered IDPs and 96,000 suspected total. Below is a map of where IDPs have relocated after fleeing Abyei since late May.

What I find interesting is that even though Wau is several hundred kilometers farther south than Aweil, because of the road access, it’s easier for people to get there instead of Aweil, so people are fleeing to Western Bahr el Ghazal state instead of Northern BEG.
